The story of “The Mona Lisa”: Sometime during the late 1980’s “The Mona Lisa” was removed for examination and a computer scan was made. Afterwards, the work was returned to a new protective case/frame. The scan was brought to JPL and the image was Digitally transferred to a film recorder, whereby the digital image was transferred to film. The film was then given to the JPL Photo Lab technicians who were instructed to make a print (Hence my copy). I then scanned the print back into my computer, generating this image.
